MyBnk are an education charity working with young people to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to manage their money effectively and make enterprising choices throughout their lives.
Seen as over 90% of UK adults never received any lessons on basic financial management, it is hardly surprising that the current generation of parents and teachers struggle to equip our young people with the financial skills they need.
MyBnk were inspired by international micro finance and savings schemes. Lily Lapenna created the project with a group of young people in Tower Hamlets in January 2007. Since then we’ve reached over 20,000 young people!
