Privacy

This privacy notice sets out the ways that MyBnk uses and protects any information that you give us as you use this website. If you give us any information that would allow someone to identify you, we promise it will only be used in the ways described here.

We may change this notice from time to time, so check back every so often to make sure that you are still happy with it.

Information that we collect and how we use it
As you use MyBnk’s website we may ask you to give us the following pieces of information. We will only use this information in the ways described below

1. If you sign up to one of our mailing lists then we will need to collect your name and email address. Unfortunately if you are under the age of 12 we will have to remove you from our mailing list as we are not allowed to collect any information about you.

2. If you are purchasing a product from us then we will ask you to give us the following information: your name, your organisation details, your order details.

3. Part of this website is specially designed to allow students to run our MyBnk-in-a-Box project. All MyBnkers, savers and borrowers under the age of 16 who use this part of the website should have been given permission by a parent or guardian to do so. MyBnk only collects the minimum amount of information necessary to run the project, and does not store information regarding dates of birth or personal contact details for these purposes. All the data we do hold is encrypted to ensure its security.

The only external organisation that we pass any of this information to is our website host, and this is purely for service administration purposes. We have an agreement with them in which they guarantee to handle your information in a secure way. Other than this, we promise not to pass any information to a third-party for any reason.

Security Measures
In order to ensure that your information is secure we have put in place suitable electronic, physical and managerial procedures to prevent unauthorised access and safeguard the information we collect.

You may require a password to access certain parts of this website. If you are given one, it is your responsibility to keep it secret. Do not share it with anyone else, and always make sure you log-out of any relevant part of the website before you leave the computer.

Use of Cookies
If you log-in to a secured part of the website a cookie will be placed on your computer. This is a small file which is used to uniquely identify you, and is needed so that we can encrypt your data. As soon as you either log-out or close your web browser, the cookie is automatically destroyed. This means that it is not permanently stored on your computer, and we therefore cannot use it to track your browsing habits after you log-out.
