Regional Education Officer - Glasgow, Edinburgh and surrounding areas
Deadline: 8th May 2019, interviews to be held on the 15th May 2019 in Glasgow
Managing money opens up new opportunities. For a young person leaving care, knowing how to budget for a weekly shop can help them live independently for the first time in their lives. For an aspiring young entrepreneur it might mean at last having the skills to get their business off the ground.
Whatever their background, whatever their ambition MyBnk helps put young people in control of their money and their dreams within reach. We call it investing in their future!
Having run a number of ‘road trips’ to Scotland over the last two years, we are looking for an experienced educator to set up and run our operations in the Glasgow – Edinburgh area based out of Glasgow.
Deadline: 14th February 2019
This is a unique opportunity to drive revenue growth and the strategic direction at this inflexion point for MyBnk.
You will work closely with the CEO and trustees, contributing significantly to MyBnk’s direction. You will play a vital role in growing our revenue from currently £1.6 million to £3 million. We expect the successful candidate to introduce and build new corporate relationships and drive commercial income and commissioned services.
MyBnk can strongly evidence the positive impact on participants of our programmes and the savings to potential sponsors. We have recently completed substantial, class-leading, independent evaluation concerning work in schools and with young adults. You will leverage our leadership in financial education, including the core programmes, pilots and development work, to help us reach more young people.
If you can engage and inspire young people then being a MyBnk Freelance Trainer might be for you.
You would be part of a unique and growing organisation, working with young people to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to manage their money effectively and make enterprising choices throughout their lives.
As a freelancer you will be delivering MyBnk programmes to young people either aged 7-25 in schools and youth organisations in London or Southampton.
We are looking for energetic and engaging individuals with a genuine interest in social change, education and the empowerment of young people.
Application Deadline: We accept applications on an ongoing basis.

OPPORTUNITY - MYBNK BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Are you aged 18-30?
Are you passionate about being an ambassador for young people, and want to bring a fresh youth perspective to a charity’s Board?
Do you want to be part of our mission to empower children and young people to take charge of their futures by bringing money to life?
Do you want to have your say in the financial futures of the next generation?
Are you ready to get to know how a charity is run, and take on some responsibility to advance its success?
Then why not apply to be a Young Trustee at MyBnk, and further diversify the Board of a fast growing youth education charity?
We know volunteers add ‘real world’ value to our programmes.
Whether it is helping a young person budget for the first time, sharing tips and tricks or mistakes with managing money, or giving them an insight into a career path, our young people gain immensely from volunteers.
MyBnk offers classroom-based volunteering opportunities directly through existing funder partnerships. Unfortunately, at present, we are unable to accommodate ad-hoc requests from individuals.
Recently we have hosted people from MUFG Bank, Old Mutual Wealth UK, Aberdeen Standard Investments, Octopus Group, and BNY Mellon.
MyBnk needs a strong back office to support our vital work on the frontline.
We welcome volunteers from a range of professions and backgrounds to apply their skillsets and support us on projects where we may lack resources. This could involve, for example, help with our IT, systems, data analysis, communications or strategic planning.
